Unit of measurement

Units of measures are an indication about the unit used to handle a product. Products can be expressed in single or multiple units of measure at once. Uprow supports single and multiple units of measure per item. 

Single Unit of Measure:

A single unit of measure allows you to assign only one unit of measure for each item. This means that you need to purchase and sell the item using the same unit.

Multiple Unit of Measurements per item

It is used if you buy, stock, or sell any item in more than one unit of measure. For example, if you buy an item that comes from a vendor into a box of 50 items but you sell each of the 50 items separately as well as whole. This is used where user wants to sell item in bulk as well as loose quantity also.

Note

The conversion between the different units of measures needs to be done first. 

    1.    To make Unit of measures, go to Inventory > Setup > Unit of Measurements. 

    

    2.    In the field, enter the name of the unit.

    

    3.    Select the unit type. To do so either press enter or click on the search icon. 

    4.    Press enter to add new row. 

    5.    Press Save.
